Practical Strategies for Neuroinclusive Healthcare Across the Lifespan
Webinar presented by Mel Houser, M.D., Executive Director, All Brains Belong VT
This webinar was presented 6/11/24 by Autistic physician, Mel Houser, M.D., Founder and Executive Director of All Brains Belong VT, who provides medical care to neurodivergent people through the lifespan.
What is this about?
Neurodivergent people often struggle to access healthcare. They have high rates of untreated chronic health conditions. They often have negative healthcare experiences. It doesn’t need to be this way.
This webinar provides practical strategies for both clinicians and patients to improve healthcare experiences. Clinicians can learn what they can do differently. Patients can get ideas for what to ask for.
Many thanks to the Organization for Autism Research (OAR) and by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) under the Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR‐P) grant, which supported the community needs assessment that formed the basis for this webinar.
