All Brains Belong is reimagining healthcare & community. We’re making life better for neurodivergent people. Will you help us?
Connection is the path to health.
All Brains Belong provides neurodiversity-affirming healthcare and community education and social connection programs for kids and adults. Founded in November 2021 by neurodivergent Vermont family physician Melissa Houser, M.D. during the COVID pandemic, All Brains Belong is dedicated to improving the access, equity, and inclusion of the 1 in 5 people who learn, think, and/or communicate differently than the so-called “typical” brain.
Our Impact
In 2022, All Brains Belong:
- served 252 medical patients whose needs were not met by the traditional healthcare system
- provided free social connection programs to 472 families (in VT and beyond!)
- developed a novel model of universal design principles for customized primary care
- delivered monthly free trainings neurocultural competency / neuro-DEI trainings to healthcare practices, schools, and employers
But there is so much more work to be done.
At a time where 80% of neurodivergent adults are unemployed, 70% have unmet health needs, and autistic adults are at 7-9 times increased risk of suicide, there is an urgent need to reimagine society’s systems that are not working. All Brains Belong’s model works. We are showing the world that connection is the path to health.
